Hey you

I photograph people.

And somehow, that keeps taking me places I never expected to go.

Into people's homes. Behind stages. Across countries. Into communities, creative worlds and conversations I probably wouldn't have found without a camera in my hand.

I originally studied sociology, culture and religion eventually graduating with a Master's of Law in International Crime & Conflict. I thought understanding people would become my profession.

Turns out, it did. Just differently than I expected.

Today, I work somewhere between portraiture, documentary and cultural storytelling. My camera has taken me from Bhutan to New York, from people whose names you'll never know to artists you probably will.

What interests me is access to another person's world.

I want to know what someone cares about. What makes them uncomfortable. What makes them light up. What exists outside the frame.

Sometimes that becomes a portrait. Sometimes a documentary story. Sometimes an artwork or an exhibition. And increasingly, I help create the circumstances for those stories to happen in the first place.

But the way I photograph hasn't really changed.

I observe first.
I don't force moments.

And I don't need you to know what to do in front of a camera.

You just need to show up as yourself.

Because a good photograph can show me what someone looks like.

The ones I care about tell me something about who they are.

If that sounds like your kind of photograph, I'd love to hear your story.

STORY

Vitoria, Family Portraits

"I recently had the pleasure of working with Anna for a photo and was fantastic. From the moment we connected, Anna demonstrated an incredible level of professionalism and warmth that set the tone for the entire experience. Her combination of professionalism, creativity, and genuine care made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. Anna has a knack for capturing not just the physical appearance but also the essence and personality of her subjects. The final photos beautifully reflected a version of myself that felt both authentic and true. Thank you, Anna, for these beautiful and remarkable photos! Highly recommended."
