Cape Town feels like a home away from home to me.
While Europe wraps itself in grey winter coats, I escape to the Cape for its golden light, warm ocean breeze, and a lifestyle that feels like a deep exhale. I spent my winter (which are summers down here) living, working, and creating in Cape Town as a photographer — so if you're around, hit me up!
Some of my closest friends call this place home, and with every visit, the list of favorite spots gets longer: cozy cafés with mountain views, unforgettable dinners by the sea, and spontaneous road trips that turn into stories.
There’s something in the rhythm of Cape Town life that gets under your skin — it’s slower, sunnier, and somehow sharper. From wine estates to roadside farms, I love hopping in the car and chasing beauty beyond the city, exploring the full spectrum of the Western Cape’s charm.
🛑 A gentle side note for first-timers:Cape Town is beautiful and welcoming, but it’s important to stay aware of your surroundings, especially in less touristy areas. Don’t flash valuables, ask locals for advice, and stay respectful. Most people are incredibly warm and helpful, but being mindful keeps the magic intact.
But now — it’s time to open your mouth, loosen your waistband, and devour the best food this city has to offer.

BABY
One of my favorite cozy spots to start the evening. BABY is a stylish bar with a laid-back, warm vibe — perfect for casual drinks with friends.
FYN Restaurant
For a next-level culinary experience, FYN is an absolute must. Located in the heart of the city, this award-winning restaurant offers modern, elevated dining with breathtaking city views.
Salsify at the Roundhouse
Perched above Camps Bay, Salsify combines history, luxury, and innovative cuisine. It’s a place where every dish feels like a tiny piece of art — and the sunset views are unforgettable.
The Pot Luck Club
Tucked away in a converted silo at the Old Biscuit Mill, The Pot Luck Club is a playground of flavors. Their small plates are creative and perfect for sharing — a real experience for adventurous foodies.
La Colombe
Often ranked among the best restaurants in the world, La Colombe is a dream come true for fine dining lovers. If you’re celebrating a special moment, this is where you want to be -- reserve!
Belly of the Beast
This intimate, no-menu restaurant is all about trust — you let the chefs surprise you. Belly of the Beast serves seasonal, locally sourced dishes full of heart and bold flavor.
COY
Minimalist, refined, and somehow both relaxed and elevated at once, COY feels like a secret you want to keep (but can't).
BLONDIE
A vibrant, colorful place perfect for a relaxed lunch or evening drinks. BLONDIE has a playful menu and a buzzing atmosphere that feels very Cape Town chic -- 100% you run into someone you know. Bonus: Negroni for 3,50EUR.
The Old Biscuit Mill Market
If you want to feel the heartbeat of Cape Town, head to the Old Biscuit Mill. It's not just a market — it's a creative hub where artists, designers, and chefs come together every weekend. Be a bit cautious in the area.
Willoughby & Co.
Inside the V&A Waterfront, Willoughby & Co. has a reputation for having the best sushi and seafood in town — and honestly, it lives up to the hype.
Café Caprice
Nothing says "Sunday in Cape Town" like an evening at Café Caprice. Beachfront views, trendy crowds, and a laid-back party vibe make it the perfect sunset hangout ( can be poshyyy).
Gigi Rooftop Restaurant & Bar
If you’re chasing a golden hour cocktail moment, Gigi Rooftop will not disappoint. Chic interiors, great drinks, and panoramic views of the city skyline.
Ollies Specialty Coffee
Small but mighty, Ollies serves some of the best specialty coffee in Cape Town. It's tucked inside the Pas Normal Studios clubhouse — the perfect pre-adventure stop.
Noodle Box Kloof Street
Craving comfort food? Noodle Box on Kloof Street is where you’ll find steaming bowls of fresh Asian noodles that hit just right. I loooove their Kimchi Dishes.
The Athletic Club & Social
An old-world-inspired social club with live jazz, craft cocktails, and an intimate, timeless atmosphere. The Athletic Club & Social feels like stepping into another era -- the Whiskey Sour is highly recommended!
